Destination Wedding Photography

It was an amazing wedding that I had the joy to capture back to November last year.

Aurelie & Cedric’s Wedding was on a two day celebration, civil and religious as usual in New Caledonia. I had a blast shooting this really emotional wedding.

Aurelie is a long time friend of mine and she always said that when the day would come, she would love to have me capturing her wedding.

I was really surprised and happy when she sent me an email saying that Cedric popped the question, And of course she said: “you are my photographer”.

It took me a while, during this busy time of the year, to put up this second slide show which includes two days of festivities.

There are so many images to choose from and of course Aurelie and Cedric will pick their favorites ones for their album.

By now, enjoy this short slide show, cut and edited with Final Cut Express.

Canon 1D Mark IV. Featuring Tamsin Starick

Once again I had the joy to do a photo shoot with Tamsin and she is my first model, along with Haley, to feature the new Canon 1D Mark IV.

With this new camera, for outdoor shoot, my standard ISO starts at 800.

This is a first batch of images captured with the Canon 1D Mark IV @ ISO 800. Shot in RAW (.CR2) and converted into JPEG with CS4 on a Mac Pro.

All comment welcome.

Canon 1D Mark IV. Ai Servo. Fps. High ISO. Glamour & e-Session

Sorry again to be behind in my posts, I just got one of the most exciting week end of the year, well let’s say of the first month of the year:
I got in hand a brand new Canon 1D Mark IV to play with and I couldn’t not spend time “shaking” it. Thanks Greg from Ted’s Canberra for this awesome offer.

My first thoughts before posting some hands-on review  here would be a very special thank to my lovely wife who took care of the kids while I was running all around town with this new big gun.

I posted some first quick impression on Photo Errant and I would really recommend that people interested in this camera to go and have a look.

As expected, this camera just blow everything out of the water.

The level of details and abilities of this crop sensor (x1.3) doesn’t have be to be shy in front of full frame bodies.

My week end has been FSS-1D4: Friday-Saturday-Sunday with Canon 1D Mark IV.

- Friday was test drivign the fps and Ai Servo in high contrast and hot situation (38C). Check my teaser video on Youtube.

- Saturday was model shoot with mixed lighting shoot and HD Video with ISO all the way up. Special thank to Haley and Tamsin for their awesome performance. I love you guys. I used a various collection of L series lenses for this session (70-200 f/2.8 IS – 135 f/2 – 35 f/1.4 & 85 f/1.2 II)

- Sunday was an e-session of an awesome couple, Dijana & Kon. I will be capturing their wedding in two weeks time. Check back soon.

For Sunday shoot I used some exotic EF lenses including the EF TS-E 90 mm f/2.8.

I have never filled my hard drives this fast with heaps of awesome data. More to come soon.

Just to keep you waiting.
