Canon 7D update

Quick post regarding the Canon 7D 8 fps: I just tried the high speed shooting and, in large jpeg, I had to physically release the shutter as the camera kept recording images at the blasting rate of 8 frames per second.

Of course it’s slower that he 10 fps of my Canon 1D Mark III BUT the 1D3 “only” handle about 110 images in high jpeg while the Canon 7D still kept shooting more than 130 frames and the buffer was only filled at half.

That’s really awesome.

I’m loving this camera a bit more … :)

I know What You did last week end.

Last year, with my family, I took the Canon 1D Mark III along with the Canon 24-70 F2.8 L USM to the snow. I reccon it performed quite well in the contrast of white snow and blue sky.

This year, we returned to the snow and I wanted to give my Nikon D700 a go in “extreme” weather shooting condition.

I took the D700 with the Nikkor 24-70 F2.8 AF-S. The Nikon was used with the vertical grip MB-D10.

Most of the pictures here are shot “into the sun”.

Comments welcome.

Below is the same image with three different themes. I like the dark side that makes the beauty stand out.

Comment and critics welcome.
