In the LightRoom III

I’ve never been a big fan of LightRoom or Aperture, even if I have them both along with CS5.

I always prefer to edit images with DPP, when I shoot with Canon or Nik, when I shoot with Nikon.

Today, I thought I’d give it a go and see what it’s worth… I’d say that I’m happy with the result and may use it a little bit more in the future.

At the mean time, a few trials. Enjoy

S5

Between two weddings, edits and album designs, I managed to escape the studio to do a shoot with a few new faces in the industry.

What was planned to be a one model shoot turned out to be a … 5 model shoot.

The girls were just gorgeous and courageous to brave the wind to do the shoot. A special thank to the two talented ans awesome make up artists, Bindi Kelly and Jolina O’Hair.

For this particular shoot I didn’t plan to have a hair stylist as I wanted some wild floating hair and the wind helped us a bit with this.

Check out a few images below.

Stay tuned as I’ll be releasing the video of the BTS (behind the scene) filmed with an iPhone 4.

Back soon.

Carys & Bradley

It was a nice and warm day at the Snowy Mountain and it was certainly a beautiful day to get married.

I had the joy to photograph Carys’ sister’s wedding about 3 years ago and it is a real pleasure to capture Carys & Brad special Day.

It all started in a very funny, almost scary way:

Before getting there, I checked the weather and special snow report. It said maximum 4 degrees and minimum -7 degrees Celsius. It’s planned to be a bit cold.

I decided to put on my ski gear, as we planned to take some chair lift to go up to the mountain to have some photos, and it was … 18.5 degrees 🙂

Needless to say that all the guests were nicely dressed up and I was in a big fat ski outfit.

Carys & Brad are such a lovely couple that they had fun out of it, so were the guests.

It was a very nice an cosy wedding with the Ceremony at the Jen Paul II Ecumenical Centre, at Thredbo and the Reception at the Lake Crakenback Resort.

For the location photography with the bridal party, we went around the Church and the resort and came up with some of these images.

Thanks again to Carys & Brad for having chosen NOMAD PHOTOGRAPHY to capture their precious moments.

M3

I am so behind of my edits (and so busy with my shoots) that I though I’d post these newly edited from a long away shoot, while waiting for the batteries to charge for a long shoot tomorrow.

It was M3.

Alana & Daniel

It was a rainy day but the wedding I had the joy to capture was very glamour and lot of fun.

I met Alana & Daniel for more than two years now and they asked me to capture their Wedding more than a year ago.

Their Wedding has been captured entirely inside the Hotel Realm, not only because of the rain but also because the Hotel Realm is such a nice place to photograph (I did a fashion shoot for the Your Local Wedding Guide bridal magazine here along with a few fashion shoots).

We had so much fun in the Executive suites, the lounges, the Borad room and also in the lobby.

For this particular wedding, I had the joy to have TomKat Photography (www.tomkatphotography.com) coming from Sacramento and Viet as my first assistant.

Here are a few images from the Wedding and some of behind the scene shooting with TomKat Photography.

More to come …
