Almost one month that I got back from my trip to Viet Nam that I finally found some times to edits some of the images.

Today is a special day, Lunar New Year’s Day, and I wanted to have a gift to the bride and groom who exchanged vows on the 01/01/2011.

Al the best to the newly wed couple.

Insomnia

A quick post on a shoot I did last Sunday with some amazing people on an amazing location.

Models: Bex, Bec, Maree, Lauren, Chris, Olga, Sabrina & Karamia

The Make Up was done by Berni & Karamia and Hair was done by Karamia

The styling and design was by Lonnie Flores from Colour Code Couture (www.colourcodecouture.com.au)

The location we used for the shoot was Samaya (www.samaya.com.au) in Mitchell. Mega thank to Deni Jane Rich for allowing us using the shop.

I was assisted by Lyndell and uses Profoto lighting gears with a giant reflector.

The shop was open for business during the shoot and it was kinda a surprise for clients walking through the door and finding themselves in the middle of models and outfits …

Check out the slide show below. More images can be seen on my Flickr Stream (http://www.flickr.com/photos/71988189@N00/)

VND – The Winter Catalog

Viktoria Novak (from Viktoria Novak Design) is a well known name in the fashion industry in Canberra.

I had a chance to finally meet her for a quick chat about an upcoming collaboration between VND and Nomad Photography.

When walking through her wardrobe I had the idea to do a winter shoot… It’s a bit out of time but we didn’t really have a proper summer per say so the idea was kinda cool.

Within 2 hours we decided to set up a shoot within the next 2 days. Needless to say that to gather a team for such project, even it’s a small one, it needed a bit of preparation and also we needed to cast for models.

Lucky enough, within our networks (thanks to Facebook) we had more than needed models for the shoot.

Thanks again for our models (Daisy Milo, Samantha Lawson Fletcher, Sky Mackenzie) for having been up to the task of wearing winter jackets under the burning sun.

A good thank you to everyone involved and the credits go to:

Viktoria Novak: MUA, Stylist, Designer

Tristen Cassar: Hair Stylist and lighting assistant

Lyndell Roberts: Photography Assistant and BTS

We also had a surprise guest: Robert Coppa, who lent a helping hand with some BTS and lighting assistance.

Mega thanks to Viktoria’s mum and dad for providing us with warm welcome into their house and for the drinks and food and Viktoria’s sister for helping us with some posing in the shed and helping us scouting the areas.

I used a Mola Setti for this shoot.

Place for some images.

Saigon Mui Ne’ – SeaLinks

After a few days spent in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh) City, more images coming soon, we headed to Mui Ne’ for a bit of a dip into the ocean and some photography.

The trip took almost 5 hours and we finally arrived at one of the awesomest houses that I’ve seen, been and slept inside …

The place is all marble and it’s a two storey-4 bedrooms-4 ensuites-downstairs bathroom and shower-two living areas with individual balcony kinda house thingy…

There are different lighting style to make it look like a fancy house or a night club, just change the colour of the light and you change the mood of the house.

The aircon system will take you from 35 degrees to 12 degrees in less than 3 minutes and the whole thing is area independent …

I realized in the morning that we are a bout 35 meters away from The biggest pool in the area. Oh, and did I mention that it also has a 18 whole golf course as well?

If you are curious, look up Sealinks somewhere on Google to have just an idea what sort of thing it is…

Of course this house is for rent as well so if you are interested for a short stay in Mui Ne, send me an email and I’ll send you more details.

First impressions:

Trip to VN

On a note more personal, I wanted, as promised, to post some image from a recent trip to Viet Nam with my Family.

It all started very awesome and we spent two days in Singapore, prior to flying to Viet Nam.

Because I haven’t edited photos from Singapore, I’ll upload some of Viet Nam first 🙂

The first batch of photos are of the location where we stayed, The Manor. It’s a newly built building with fully furnished apartments and crowed with security guards, even in the lifts 🙂

Needless to say that we were lucky enough to be the first people to have the place so everything was freshly unwrapped for our arrival.

The building is conveniently located with taxis waiting at the door, if we’d need to go somewhere.

There is a KFC, a pizza place and a Pho 24 just downstairs at ground level and on top of the building is the awesome swimming pool with a massive view over to the river and the surroundings … Just can’t wait to get back there.

If you happen to go to Viet Nam, would it be for holidays or business, I’d recommend this place. I’d put some contact details up here or if you’re interested, send me an email.

Here are the first shots from my trip to Viet Nam 2010-2011.
