I love Xmas

One of the main reasons why I love Xmas is that my youngest daughter is born on the 25th of December and she was the first Xmas baby in the country, she and her mom were even on the TV news for that :).

The other reason is of course the presents. It’s always fun to watch the excitement of the kids and there are heaps of opportunities to capture those fast happening moments.

Well, this year, I had to open my presents a bit ahead the kids and I can tell that my excitement was at least as big.

These are ones of the bests from Canon and I am very excited about my next wedding and fashion shoots. Obviously nothing is too much for my brides and grooms.

Back on the blog

Whooooff…

It was an intensive and very interstinhg season, I am about to get all my wedding post processing out of the way and to prepare the festive period.

Looking back in heblog and noticed that I didn’t come back here for a while. Man, the last few months were amazing, especially the last couple of weeks when I received my Canon 5D Mark II and also the portfolio shoots for local models.

I really need to rebuild my calendar and include more of blgo time into it.

Till then here ae a few shots with the Canon 5D Mark II from a portfolio shoot at Mt Stromlo.

Canon 5D Mark II and the Blog

It is such a busy period of the year here, in Canberra, for weddings and everything around.

I was also sooooo, toooo busy playing around with the new Canon 5D Mark II that I can’t find time to blog.

I am sitting here post processing the last weddings and caugh myself bloging …:)

Anyway, here are a few from a portrait session and a portfolio shoot last Sunday

PS: that 5D Mark II is just awesome. Just put an order for a second one and can’t wait to get it in.

I’ll be posting a short video soon as well. Stay tuned.

MK II vs MK III

People ask around the space how better wold perform the Canon 5D MK II against the 1D MK III in similar lighting situation and at high ISO.

I did this out of the box (for the 5D MK II) test at ISO 6400 on both cameras: 5D MK II and 1D MK III.

Remember that when ISO 6400 is “native” for the 5D MK II it is “boosted” in the 1D MK III.

Put the crop factor aside, these shots have been taken in P mode, JPEG, ISO 6400 and straight out of both cameras.

Place to the pixels.

Wedding cars

During wedding shoots, I pay most of the time concentrating on the couple and the events that happen during their Day.

I also pay a lot of attention to details of the surrounding.

Somehow, it seems normal that the rings, bouquet, the flowers, the shoes … have their time of glory, the cars, by themselves, are not shown enough.

I think it’s time to balance the deal.

Here are a couple shots of the cars from First Class Chauffeured Cars.
