A quick post for some screen shot of Canon DPP on an Apple 30″ Cinema.
Bear in mind that these are RAW view of unedited files. You can see that I shot in Auto ISO mode and the first image is shot at ISO 2500, the second and third shots , at ISO 4000, one being fit size and one as 100% viewing.

It’s been a busy time and after almost a week of getting the newly released Canon 5D Mark III, I finally found sometimes to sit down and process a few images taken with this already amazing camera and post some images here.
For this shoot, I mainly used my Hasselblad H4D40 but also had the Canon 5D Mark III along for some BTS and Studio shots.
I must confess that this camera has exceeded my expectations. It is very rare that I use Av mode along with the auto ISO feature but for this quick session, it was how the camera was set up: Av mode and auto ISO.
I also used the camera for a few studio shots when the Blad got frozen and jammed my 17″ MacBook Pro… I really enjoyed shooting tethered and now travel on location shoots with my iPad3 (thanks for the SD slot on the Canon 5D Mark III that allows using my EyeFi cards) or my MacBook Air with I can connect to my camera to shoot tethered.
Check these out. Since Camera Raw 7 can not read these files, I had to convert them from Canon’s DPP into JPEG and …. that’s it. Nothing more or less than a converted JPEG from the .CR2 files. Check them out for yourself.

We shot at INJEKTD Studios and the shoot was called RED for Raw, Edgy and a bit BOLD.
The idea behind the name is I wanted to do a shoot with minimum edits (only conversion from Hasselblad .fff raw files into JPEG and … that’s the RAW side of it). The edgy side being that the shoot was planned to be a beauty shoot with really /*&#@:!$$ make up and looks and we haven’t planned any outfit before hand… The BOLD side of the shoot is …. I can’t show it here … yet :o)
Make sure you scroll all the way down to check out an edited image taken with the Canon 5D Mark III and the Ef 85 f/1.02 at f/9.
I’ve been a bit away and was so busy being involved in several projects that I really haven’t had the time to update this space.. but new year resolution is: DO MORE.
More meaning higher end of the market rather than quantity kind of thing.
As you may know,I am investing more and more my time into editorial and fashion work and the demand is high.
I am also in the process of redesigning the Nomad Photography website (www.nomadphotography.com.au) where I will redesign the interface to separate weddings, portraits, events, fashion and editorial work.
In the mean time, to keep your patience and interest growing, here are a couple of images from a shoot I did last year, just before Xmas. I called it WTF for Wild Troubled Flowers.
WTF is a concept mixing the softness and delicatessen of weddings and the edgy and glamourous of fashion and a bit of boldness. Not that wedding is no glamour but …
I could have called it Wedding T. F but it’s not always about wedding … at least in the shoot..

It was a wonderfully warm morning today for an engagement shoot.
As a major sponsor for last year Your Local Wedding Guide wedding fair, I gave away an engagement shoot for the winner of the major prize.
It happened that Emma and Ben, the original winners of the prize, couldn’t make it to the shoot so they decided to donate their prize to Annette and Tim. I must admit that the session was real fun and Annette & Ben will exchange vows next March so the present was really good timing and greatly appreciated by the young couple.
I won’t have the joy to capture their wedding but as mentioned, I had good fun shooting their engagement. On the side, Annette will also be the maid of honour for Emma, the original prize winner, for her wedding.
Congratulations to you all guys. It was great spending the saturday morning with you.
