I just realised that my recent posts only concern the new Canon 5D Mark 2 and nothing much about wedding photography.
o be honest, I am a bit behind with my wedding post processing but the hype of this new camera is so … WOW that I can’t concentrate on post processing 🙂 (I’m sure that my brides understand that I take time to deliver the best photos for them…:p)
Ok, let’s get back to the main topic of this post: The Canon 5D Mark II, again.
There were, and still are, so many posts around the blogs and I have replied on forums regarding this camera.
As a professional photographer, I welcome the new comer (5D2) geared with never-seen-before features, such as, MP, ISO range, Full HD video and an incredible announced price of 2700 USD.
Of course, the price tag would put tis camera in the hands of a wider range of users and that’s a very good thing.
I can still hear other “pro” photographer complaining that the business is under threat as uncle Bob, or aunt Mary or again cusin Harry, could have the same gear as the “Pros“.
Well, my answer would be that it’s not the camera it makes the difference, but the way one uses the camera.
Is the profesional photography bsiness threaten because of the price of this camera? No. And the proof is that workshops, books, online publications around the world yell out the need for education. There is no bad tools, ony bad users.

While the quality of the video is incredible, it is worthwhile to have a look at the behind-the-scene of the video itself (BIG bandwidth recommended).
That is what I meant when I say that the difference between a profesional photog and uncle Bob is using the cmera as a tool and not a toy.
