Updated the confrontation between the Canon 7D and the Nikon D700.
The test is mainly focused on the AF system of these two cameras in Ai Servo, for Canon, and Continuous AF for Nikon.

A quick test of the new Canon AF system on the 7D in Ai Servo mode at 8 fps.
Cameras used: Canon 7D and Nikon D700
Lenses used: Canon 70-200 f2,8 IS L USM and Nikon 70-200 f2,8 AF-S VR G
Cameras settings:
Tv/T: 1/8000 sec
Av/A: f:2.8
ISO: 800
Ai Servo @ 8fps for the Canon 7D
Continuous AF @ 5fps for the Nikon D700
Center AF point used.
Both cameras have been placed on a tripod with their IS and VR turned OFF.
The speed of the subject is towards the camera at a stabilized speed of 60 km/h
The Canon 7D is set of AF priority and we only have 67 frames out of the theoretical 80 frames for the 10 seconds squeeze of the trigger.
The Nikon D700 gave a consistent 42 frames for 8.3 seconds squeeze of the trigger.
